GEM prefers to partner with management teams and operators and with them execute strategic plans and create value.
Minority Investments
GEM places capital into public and private companies that use the investment to fund growth, expansion, or restructurings. Minority placements enable companies to tap into alternative sources of capital, especially important when public market offerings are either not possible or accessible at a very high cost.
Elite Modeling New York In February 2004, the GEM Group leveraged off of its focus out of New York in pursuing both LBO as well as structured equity and fixed-income investments in orphan mid-cap US businesses of European parents, by providing a $5.0 million Debtor-in-Possession (DIP) financing for Elite New York.
